What's Old is New Again...
On Saturday, July 9th, The Lodge at The Hideout will be “rocking” when we proudly introduce Northeastern Pennsylvania’s newest, hottest and only rockabilly band, RockABilly & the 45’s, to our friends and neighbors in Lake Ariel, PA!
The music, on the other hand, needs NO introduction. Simply put, it’s the twangy fusion of country-western with rhythm and blues that launched the now-legendary careers of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins, whose Sun Records sessions in December 1956 earned them the nickname “million dollar quartet.”
Did you know that rockabilly is the latest rage? No?! Well, neither did we…until after we met this charismatic quartet and just knew they’d be a perfect fit for our very own hometown. It’s a timeless genre that appeals to all generations, and there’s a new breed of musicians, like RockABilly & the 45’s, who grew up listening to – and loving – their parents’ music, and are now bringing the “twang heard ‘round the world” to today’s audiences. They’re drawing huge crowds to hear the amazing guitar licks, frantic vocals, standup bass slaps and heavy drum back beat that rockabilly fans loved then…and love now. In fact, they’ll be making their Wayne County Fair debut in August…but you’ll get to see them first at The Hideout!
