PocoNotes Newsletter 2010-1: January 7, 2010

Well, yet another year has come to an end.  Although 2009 has been one of the most economically-challenging times for this generation, there is always something a bit nostalgic about letting go of one year...before we welcome another.  For one thing, it's a time when many of us do a personal 'inventory' of where we are in our lives and where we'd like to be.  For us at PocoNotes, we'd like to be in your lives...and for you to be inours.  So, we're launching 2010 with great hopes that it will afford us a few opportunities to do just that!

However, before we 'close the books' on 2009 and bid farewell to the past 365 days, we would like to acknowledge, once again, the countless people that have made a difference to us in either some small - or wonderful - way.  Without a doubt, we've met many interesting people in this journey:
all of you have had an impact on us, many of you have been incredibly kind....and some of you are now lifelong friends.  You know who you are - and so do we!

With endings, come beginnings...so,
onward to 2010 when we will be bringing more music to Northeastern Pennsylvania in our quest to do our part to make the world a kinder place...one amazing event at a time!  We have just the right "troubadours" in mind to help us - starting on March 20th when we will be hosting a personal favorite of ours, Joe Crookston, and a special duo of friends from NEPA, Pat Flynn and John Smith.  Although this is Joe's first time playing for us, it's Pat and John's PocoNotes "encore" - and we can assure you that you won't want to miss either.  Like all the musicians we present, these are undoubtedly "artists who will entertain you for a single evening...and impact you for the rest of your life...!  As always, this event will be one in which mutual respect will abound for - and by - the venue, artists and audience - and where something special will be crated by all of us together!

Hopefully, we'll get to see you then - or at some point in the future...as we continue to pursue our generation's promise to change the world...for the better.  Until then, keep supporting your local musicians...or they'll leave, play in someone else's neighborhood, become rich and famousand then you'll have to drive two hours and pay big bucks to see them.  :-)

In the meantime, if there are some of you who would like to find out a bit more about
who we are, what we are doing - and why, you can do so at www.PocoNotes.com.  We're also on Facebook and Twitter and even do a bit of 'blogging' on Wordpress, too - so take your pick.  If you need help finding us, give us a shout at (888) 800-POCO, and we'll be happy to point the way.

So, that's it for now.  Please remember to be good to each other - and let's all do our part for peace in 2010...
really!

Peace…really!
