PocoNotes Newsletter 2007-6: New Year's Eve 2007

For weeks, we have been pondering our year-end newsletter and how to best sign-off on 2007 with you. Then, we saw Roy Book Binder at his annual "Day After Thanksgiving" performance at The Turning Point. During this awesome evening of storytelling, he said that his life was an especially good one because, over the years, many of his "heroes" had become his "pals." So...with this inspiring thought in mind, we would like to close out 2007 with a note of thanks to our heroes and pals.

On January 19, 2006, PocoNotes was "out the door" with a dream to make the world a better place in a way that we could - and in a way that mattered to us. It was, simply, to bring good people and good music together in an intimate setting, where all concerned - audience, musicians and venue - would be given the respect they so rightly deserved.

Over these past two years, we have had the honor of working with a few of you, the pleasure of meeting many of you and the opportunity of speaking with countless more. In doing so, we have been constantly reminded that what makes all of us similar is far more powerful than what makes any of us different, that strangers can quickly become friends and, best of all, we have many, many heroes.

Thank you - all - for your many kindnesses throughout 2007. Your support is priceless to us and appreciated far more than we could ever express. We have read and cherish every kind note and have taken all of your words very much to heart.

We will be back in 2008 and hope to meet many more of you. In the meantime, please take some time to visit us at PocoNotes.com and on our MySpace page. This will give you an opportunity to meet just some of our growing list of heroes...and pals.

Until we meet - or meet again, we hope that you part ways with 2007 on a good note and wish you a happy start to what we hope will be a wonderful New Year for you...all 366 days!

Please be good to each other...and remember to support live music. The local musicians need you...and the legends...well, they have written the soundtrack for our lives. They deserve the respect...and certainly have ours!

Peace!

It's about the music. And the music comes from the musicians.
